Welcome to Small World Early Learning

When you choose Small World Early Learning for your child, you choose a place where they will be loved and cared for, just like home.

We use the guidance of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to guide all areas of our service. Our Pedagogy is embedded in our approach to delivering quality care and learning experiences.

Our curriculum is designed to foster a love of learning in children, and our facilities are always kept clean and safe. We also pride ourselves on our open communication with families; we know how important it is to be kept in the loop regarding your child's progress and development.

Our Philosophy

At Small World Early Learning, we acknowledge that every child's development will be as 'unique as the child' and educators will provide individualised care. Guided by a holistic view of the whole child based on the idea of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, children are nurtured to meet their basic needs to encourage each child to strive and become curious, well-balanced and capable learners. Having educators in tune with their needs enriches their ability to grow and learn in their own way. Our dedicated team, led by Pedgaody, is committed to providing a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can explore, discover, and develop their full potential. Our centre follows each child's personal needs including a designated right-to-rest between 12 and 2, where children are provided with a calm environment that allows children to relax, rest or sleep. We follow a child-centred approach that focuses on each child's individual needs and interests, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Through play-based learning, hands-on experiences, and a wide variety of activities, we aim to inspire a love for learning and prepare children for a successful transition to school. If you want to learn more about our approach or have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Our Vision

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and nurturing environment. Our vision is to provide children with a solid foundation for their future while instilling a love for learning and an appreciation for diversity. We are committed to creating an environment that promotes partnerships between our educators, parents, and the community so that we can work together to meet each child's individual needs and goals.

The Small World Approach

Curiosity

Our Learning spaces are designed to promote children to enquire and explore, creating curiosity to extend learning and encourage interest in their outcomes.

Connection

Using the EYLF framework of Becoming, Being and Belonging we encourage the relationships children have with their educators & peers and keep the consistency that their parents have for their development.

Self Awareness

The early years are the foundation for learning the skills of autonomy. Teaching the skill of self-awareness gives children the stepping stones to learning more about themselves as a little person.
